We have a very active group of ESRA volunteers here in the Southeast; there is always something exciting going on – Springers being rescued, Springers in foster homes learning a new life as part of a loving family, Springers being adopted into their new loving forever home.

We also have events year round:
Social events like picnics and meet-ups and dog parks where the doggies can play and socialize while their families swap dog stories. Some times it is just for fun, like Lunch at Henry’s; July 30, 2011.
Fundraising events where ESRA volunteers work to raise funds to help enable ESRA to continue rescuing the precious Springers.
Some of our planned upcoming events:
- ESRA at 8th Annual Gulfport’s Get Rescued: A Street Festival in Downtown Gulfport, Florida; Saturday, February 25th, 2012, Two Fantastic Events: Daytime Street Part; 10:00am-6:00pm & Evening Celebration; 7:00pm-11:00pm. This is a very large show that is geared towards people who are looking for a new dog, or cat. The main road in downtown Gulfport is blocked off to traffic and there will be a double row of booths down the middle of the street as well as along the sides of the street. Ron and Meredith Press will be hosting this fun event for ESRA. Come on out and bring your foster dogs, as well as your own dog to support this great event!
- AKC Flushing Spaniel Hunt Test: February 25th and 26th in Bowman County. This event, sponsored by the Chattahoochee English Springer Spaniel Club of Greater Atlanta is a fundraising opportunity for ESRA, where ESRA volunteers provide and sell lunches to the Trial participants.
- ESRA at For the Love of Dogs (Auburn, GA): April 28th, 2012, Downtown Auburn, GA. Wow, this is another fun event for dogs of all kinds and their families. This will be the 3rd annual event of this kind in Auburn and ESRA’s third time joining in. We will have an informational booth at this event to spread the word about rescue and English Springer Rescue America. Plan to join us there and enjoy all the wonderful doggie demonstrations.
- ESRA Spring’er’ Picnic 2012 (AL): Make plans to join us, Saturday, May 19th, at Cheaha State Park (Delta, AL) for a fun filled day with lots of springers, good food, friends and family! for more information, click here.
